Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati ji, the guru of gurus, had established four traditional teaching centres, under the name of ‘Arsha Vidya’, i.e. Knowledge of the Rishis and many more across the globe through his students.

With a primary focus on teaching Vedanta, Sanskrit and related disciplines, hundreds of his students and now Arsha Vidya teachers from different nationalities are teaching across the world.

In the Arsha Vidya Meet September 2017 held in Rishikesh the Arsha Vidya teachers decided to set up Arsha Vidya Sampradaya, a virtual information hub, the purpose of which was twofold :

  1. To make available the teaching of Advaita Vedanta across the world by sharing online, the contact details, activities, projects, links to websites of hundreds of Arsha Vidya teachers. These teachers directly taught by Pujya Swami Dayananda ji or his direct disciples uphold the tradition and teach in many languages and in many countries.
  2. To share information for greater synergy and collaboration for greater impact in society as one Arsha Vidya family.

It was clarified that the hub would not be a separate organization nor a trust nor was it meant to replace any activities but only a virtual information hub

This virtual hub was decided to be called Arsha Sampradaya to mark our lineage, the traditional teaching methodology imparted by the great Rishis through Bhagavatpada Adi Shankaracharya and to our immediate guru, Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati and to uphold this glorious tradition imparted to us.
