Responsibilities in AIM for Seva
Swami Dayananda Saraswati Sukhanand Career Public School Educational Society was founded in 2004 under the blessings of auspicious Swami Dayananda Saraswati.
The Society’s major focus is to provide equal access to quality education for children irrespective of their caste, religion and financial status by starting schools, colleges, etc. Swami Dayananda SSCP Inter College is an initiative run by the Society.
Recently with the help of the District Magistrate and SDM, the Society has adopted 40 children from the disaster-affected communities from different parts of Garhwal regions namely, Uttarkasi, Kedarbnath and Tehri-Garwhal.
These children were deprived of school education due to natural disasters that took place in the area; some of them even lost their families, houses and livelihood.
Swami Dayananda’s vision was to relocate these kids to safer areas and provide them with free education, boarding and lodging.
The College was established in the year of 1994 and taken over by the Society headed by Swami Dayananda Saraswati in the year of 2004. The School is an English-medium co-educational inter-college affiliated with Uttarkhand Board of Education.
The College is committed to providing a rigorous academic and intellectual education which will challenge and engage pupils, offer continuity and progression of learning to foster a life-long love of learning for its own sake and provide them with a secure foundation on which to continue into Higher Education and into the careers of their choice. It seeks to provide equal access to education for children irrespective of their social and financial status as well as a new opportunity for quality education in India.
Our approach to education is focused on the provision of the conducive conditions for learning and enabling the development of responsible and open-minded citizens of the 21st century.
