John lives near San Francisco, California. He has spent more than two years in India at Swamiji's ashrams. Swamiji and his Trust published his book "Virtuous Reality" in 2000. He has transcribed and edited seven of Pujya Swami Dayananda ji's major texts and they are available at the ashram bookstore. He has fully documented his 37 years with Pujya Swamiji in photographs.

John earned a B.A. degree in Sanskrit from the University of California at Berkeley in 1977 and has a M.S. in Counseling Psychology, Dominican University, 2000.
